Omar Hakim Modern Drummer Magazine Features

Legendary drummer/musician Omar Hakim (Daft Punk, Madonna, Sting, Chic, etc.) was featured on the July 2014 cover of Modern Drummer magazine.

I had the pleasure of filming this master during the Loop Loft All-Stars event at Guitar Center in NYC (February 27th, 2014), and again for a much more private performance when I stopped by Hakim’s northern New Jersey home studio with Modern Drummermanaging editor Adam Budofsky.

Video from the Loop Loft event was shot on a Canon 7D. Footage from Omar’s home studio was filmed on a Canon 7D and two GoPro Hero3 Black Editions with audio captured from a Zoom H6 using the XYH-6 X/Y capsule.
